His distinguished career includes notable roles at Wellstar MCG Health in Georgia and Dignity Health in California, where he played pivotal roles in brand development and crafted award-winning marketing strategies. 

Prior to joining the healthcare sector, Rick Plummer built a solid foundation in broadcast journalism. His career in the media industry included serving as a TV news reporter for KEPR-TV in Pasco, Washington, and as a news producer for KLAS-TV in Las Vegas. This diverse background equips him with a unique perspective that will undoubtedly contribute to the success of DCH’s marketing and communications initiatives. 

During his tenure as the Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Branding for Wellstar MCG Health, Plummer demonstrated his ability to lead successful marketing campaigns. His contributions were instrumental in enhancing the brand’s visibility and establishing effective communication channels. At Dignity Health in California, he coordinated brand development efforts, resulting in the implementation of award-winning marketing strategies that set new standards in the industry. 

In his role at DCH, Rick Plummer will collaborate closely with organizational leaders to develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies. This will encompass media relations, internal and external communications, executive communications, and digital strategy. His multifaceted skill set positions him as a key player in advancing DCH’s visibility and engagement with the community. 

Plummer’s academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications from Washington State University. Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in health care innovation from Arizona State University, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends and advancements.
