     Ministers from throughout the Hueytown area were aplenty as they lifted up the audience in prayer at the 3rd Annual Mayor’s Community Prayer Breakfast in Hueytown which took place on Thursday, May 2. 

     North Highlands Baptist Church was the site of the inspiring event. 

     The Hueytown Area Chamber of Commerce and Hueytown Mayor Steve Ware hosted the event in honor of the National Day of Prayer. 

     Chamber Executive Director Debbie Kiker stated, “This event encompasses what the city of Hueytown and the Chamber strive to do for our community.  We extend our gratitude to all who helped make this a successful event.” 

     The keynote speaker was former University of Alabama football player Jeremiah Castille. 

     The event was free to the public thanks to the sponsors:  Waldrep, Stewart & Kendrick, LLC Attorney at Law, Union State Bank, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Jefferson County Commissioner Jimmie Stephens, North Highlands Baptist Church and the Jefferson County Sheriff Department. 

     Jamie Gilmore, chairman of the Hueytown Board of Directors welcomed the guests. 

     Offering prayers for our government, businesses, schools, faith, community and families were Brother Michael Wallace, Pastor Jeff Weathers, Pastor Charles Winston, Pastor Emanuel Jones, Pastor John Verciglio and Pastor Kyle M. Horn.
