The Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays will be brighter for many this season due to the generosity of Avadian Credit Union.

Last week, the Hueytown branch of Avadian Credit Union donated $1,325.00 to the Food Pantry at the First Methodist Church of Hueytown. Rev. John Verciglio accepted the gift on behalf of the church.

“It is incredibly rewarding to work for a company that is committed to giving back to those in need—especially this time of year. I am proud of the work our Avadian Hueytown Branch staff put into this effort,” stated Pam Long, branch experience manager/Hueytown.

For several decades, the church family has operated a food pantry for the community. Peggy Horne is in charge of the Food Pantry. They also operate a clothes closet.

There will always be a need, so the church gladly accepts donations to each ministry. For more information, please call 205-491-3421.
