It’s not every day you walk out of class to find a CH-47 Chinook helicopter parked on campus! At Pleasant Grove High School, cadets, staff, administrators, and students were treated to an incredible opportunity to tour this impressive aircraft and engage in enlightening conversations with the helicopter pilots and crew.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the US Army Aviation, the 110th Aviation Brigade, and the Spartans Battalion Leadership Academy for orchestrating this remarkable experience for our students. We are truly fortunate to have extraordinary learning opportunities such as this within our school district.

The visit from the CH-47 Chinook was not just about gawking at an impressive machine. It was an educational experience that allowed students and staff to engage with the helicopter pilots and crew who operate this remarkable aircraft.

Students had the chance to learn about the helicopter’s capabilities, its role in the US Army, and the rigorous training required to become a pilot or crew member. The crew, in turn, shared their personal experiences and the importance of teamwork and discipline in their profession.

For many students, this was a glimpse into a world they had never considered before, offering insight into potential career paths and fostering a greater appreciation for the men and women who serve in the military.

The incredible experience wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration and support of several key organizations. Pleasant Grove High School expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the US Army Aviation, the 110th Aviation Brigade, and the Spartans Battalion Leadership Academy for making this event a reality.

Such partnerships exemplify the commitment of these organizations to education and community engagement. They understand the importance of inspiring the next generation and creating opportunities for students to explore various career paths and interests.
