10th Anniversary Alabama Music Awards Weekend Promises Two Days of Spectacular Events

The 10th Anniversary Alabama Music Awards weekend is set to dazzle attendees with a lineup of exciting events from July 27th to July 28th, 2024. From live music to fashion shows and the prestigious awards ceremony, this two-day extravaganza promises something for everyone. 

Saturday, July 27th, offers a trio of captivating events. Families are invited to the annual Funday Back to School Rally at Bessemer Parks and Recreation (100 South 14th Street, Bessemer, AL) from 11am to 2pm. This free event offers a fun-filled day for children with school supplies, food, entertainment, and games, making it a perfect family outing. 

The energy continues at the Bessemer Civic Center (1130 9th Ave SW, Bessemer, AL) as the epicenter for musical brilliance, and fashion as it hosts two sensational events. First, the Gospel Explosion, hosted by Jalisa Rogers Grant, Samuel Miracle Brown, and Ladonna Taylor, promises an uplifting experience with performances by featured artists Jaeden Henderson and JL & 1 Vision and other gospel talents. Doors open at 4PM, with tickets available for $30 on Eventbrite and $40 at the door. 

Later in the evening, the Fashion Show takes center stage, showcasing international designers such as MeMe Braboy Mohd of “Michelles House of Design,” Scheronda Thompson of “Curvy Diva Boutique,” and Jamese Ross of “Fluffy Diva Empire.” Witness world-class models who have graced the runways of New York, London, Milan, and Paris Fashion Weeks. Doors open at 6PM, with tickets priced at $30 on Eventbrite, $40 at the door, and $55 for VIP Treatment on Eventbrite. 

The grand finale of the weekend unfolds on Sunday, July 28th, with the prestigious 10th Anniversary Alabama Music Awards at the Bessemer Civic Center. Hosted by Milly Flow and Tabitha Duncan of multiplatinum group Kut Klose along with commentator host Nikki Jackson and DJ Gorgeous, this event promises an unforgettable evening of live performances. Featured artists include Lady K and KBlock of American Idol, Soul Singer Bill Avery, Country Artist Robert Abernathy, Southern Soul Artist Mose Stovall, and Rock Group Tremayne, among others. Special guest appearances will be made by American Idol Tyesha Chambers, Tristan Harper, and Dawson Slade. The 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Allen Sanders will be honored during the ceremony. 

Attendees can network with industry professionals, the red carpet starts at 2pm, and enjoy a full day of live entertainment. Pre-show starts at 5pm and the main event starts at 6pm with tickets available for $35 on Eventbrite, $45 at the door, and $75 for the VIP Experiences on Eventbrite.
